Adult Intro to Knife Skills and Fire Building Class: February 15th

The ability to create fire to cook, stay warm, and build connection with friends and family is a defining feature of being human. In this introductory workshop for adults, you will learn to build a fire that will sustain you, with nothing more than a knife, wood, and ferro rod. No lighter, match, or synthetic fire starter required!

Participants will leave this workshop with a knife, ferro rod, and natural/homemade fire starting kit. You will be equipped with the knowledge to safely and effectively build a fire with these simple tools.

Instructors

Briana “Bri” McFarland

Bri is a Pacific Northwest native. She grew up picking huckleberries barefoot, climbing trees and catching frogs in the foothills of the Cascades.
